Tree Safety Surveys

We provide individual tree inspections as well as large scale tree surveys. Trees that grow close to people and property are a valuable amenity, but they may also pose a potential risk to public safety. Owners or managers of land containing trees have a legal duty to ensure the safety of the trees under the Occupiers Liability Act (1995) and the Roads Act (1993).

We collect detailed information regarding the trees and their environment using visual tree assessment (VTA) and where necessary the use of specialist decay detection equipment.

The Tree Safety Survey will include:

    • Ground level inspection (or aerial inspection if deemed necessary)
    • Tree species, condition, and quality
    • Tree Location Plan
    • Assessment of hazard and risk
    • Tree management plan and schedule of works
